This hotel has been skilfully designed to take advantage of its sheltered position. There are 86 rooms set behind the reception, piano bar and restaurant terraces which lead down to the pool and secluded rocky cove with sun decks.

All the guest rooms have a furnished terrace or balcony (some with sea views) with a small table and chairs, en suite shower room, air conditioning, telephone, WiFi, TV, minibar, safe, hairdryer, beach towels and adult bathrobes (tea set available on request).

Presidential Suite Sea View (sleeping up to 2 adults, 2 children 0-13 years + cot on request) Double bedroom with walk in closet, luxurious bathroom with hydromassage bath and chromotherapy shower, separate WC, separate lounge area with 2 single sofa beds plus space for a cot, large terrace with amazing sea views.

The Restaurants & Bars

An elaborate buffet breakfast is served on the terrace accompanied by a harp. Gli Olivastri restaurant offers dinner located on shady terraces nestled amongst olive and juniper trees, providing the perfect setting for an intimate al fresco dinner with show cooking and table service*. Guests can enjoy aperitifs and after dinner drinks at the piano bar located on the adjacent terrace close to the sea.

*Please note that table service may be replaced with a buffet at the managements discretion.

Il Paguro with views over Cala Capra beach and marina, is renowned for the elegant ambience, table service and quality of the a la carte cuisine with a selection of fresh fish on the menu.

Ile Flottante offers the opportunity to dine on a floating pontoon over the water serving specialities from the chef (on reservation, supplement).

Pizzeria L’Approdo has a wood burning oven and offers a casual setting for an informal dinner.

Room service is available on request (extra cost).

Gluten free meals are available on request when booking.

The Facilities

The hotel is approached via a private road leading to the marina, picturesque beach and the hotel. Steps lead through Mediterranean style gardens to the reception offering information about the hotel, the local area and excursions. Doors lead to the bar, restaurant and al fresco dining terraces and steps lead up to the accommodation, which is arranged in stepped terraces.

The seawater swimming pool is nestled under the shade of the wild olive trees with paths leading down to the rocks with wooden sun decks and sunbeds arranged on the sea front and there is a small shaded outdoor fitness area with cardio equipment. Accessed via paths through the pretty gardens with superb sea views are the Suites, Spa & Thalasso centre, Cala Selvaggia beach (no services) and pitch and putt golf course (extra cost) with 9 holes with driving range. Golf lessons and golf club rental (extra cost).

The hotel has its own marina with daily boat trips (extra cost) on the Pulcinella sailing ship to the neighbouring beautiful islands and and the Delphina Express motorboat with half day trips to selected beaches along the Costa Smeralda. There is a lovely beach with complimentary sunbeds and a shaded grassy area. The hotel runs a scheduled shuttle service into Palau twice daily at set times (extra cost).

Tennis courts are available 1.5km away and a sailing school, boat hire, scuba diving and sport fishing available locally (all extra cost). 

Please note: Facilities are open at the discretion of the management. For safety reasons, children under 3 years are not permitted on boat excursions.

Spa Hotel

L’Incantu Thalasso & Spa offers two open air seawater spa pools of differing temperatures with fabulous sea views, Turkish bath, health and beauty cabins for thalasso treatments and massage, jacuzzi, relax area and deck with sunbeds.

Please note: Entrance to the spa centre is €30pp for about 2 hours. It is open 6 days a week. A health self-certification is required to have treatments and to use the spa facilities. Specific programmes for pregnant ladies (some treatments might be excluded). Access only for 14 years+ if accompanied by parents or with a written parental consent. Opening is at discretion of the Management.

1 free entrance per person (on reservation) to the ‘L’Incantu’ Wellness Centre with use of the heated seawater multifunction Thalasso pools with hydro massage jets and relax area by the sea. Plus, a Delphina souvenir gift for the couple, a typical Sardinian silver wedding ring for the bride and golf classes for beginners or 3 complimentary green fees for regular players.

Please note: Offer applies to stays within 12 months of the wedding (for anniversaries within one month of the original date and within a year for silver and golden weddings). For defacto couples the date of formalisation will be accepted. A document indicating the date of marriage or formalization will need to be shown at the hotel. Available for the couple only. Minimum stay 7 nights.

The Local Area

Hotel Capo d’Orso is situated on the headland of the Gulf of Arzachena, with Cala Capra and Cala Selvaggia beaches on either side.

There are wonderful sea views to Baia Sardinia with the Costa Smeralda beyond and to the islands of La Maddalena and Caprera. Capo d’Orso itself towers high above the hotel with ‘Bear Rock’ being a strategic landmark of this area, which can be reached by a steep path for far reaching views of the Maddalena Islands and to Corsica on a clear day.

The vibrant town and port of Palau is just 4km away with a selection of shops, weekly market, good restaurants and regular ferries to La Maddalena Island.

Hotel Capo d’Orso is a highly recommended 5 star hotel with a relaxed atmosphere in a truly romantic setting with guests, young and old, returning year after year. It is the perfect choice for a special occasion, anniversary or honeymoon. 

What could be better than to start the day with an excellent buffet breakfast accompanied by the harp, then spending the day relaxing by the pool or picturesque beaches and swimming off the rocks in the clear blue sea. Alternatively take the hotel water taxi or sailing boat out to the magnificent unspoilt islands nearby.

Here you can be as relaxed or as active as you like.  Car hire is recommended to see more of the local area.  Early booking advised.
