As Owner and Managing Director of the company I have a passion for travel and of course Sardinia, I have been working in the travel industry for over 30 years, at first in the Alps and the Med and now in the head office, when you work in travel, every day is different with new challenges and adventures arising all the time.

I love the Gallura region in the north east part of Sardinia with its granite rock formations and the wonderful small coves but most of all the crystal clear waters. For the last few years my family and I have holidayed in Villa L’Arco for 2 weeks every summer, we love it!

After founding Just Sardinia with my husband Huw in 2000, I found myself naturally marketing the company through my love and in depth knowledge of the island. This stemmed from living in Sardinia for a couple of years and wanting to expand the English market to Sardinia which we have successfully done with hotels, villas, apartments and rural retreats throughout the island and finding new properties every year!

I am involved in writing our brochures and websites, PR and developing our brands which include Just Sicily and Just Corsica.

Huw and I have 3 boys who also love Sardinia as we go on holiday there every year in April, July and October and love each season for different reasons. Spring in Sardinia is refreshing and we love meeting up with our friends after the winter and having roast Sardinian lamb on Easter Day along with huge chocolate Easter eggs! Sardinia is always in full swing in July and we spend most days out on the water visiting different beaches and islands, amazed at the size of the superyachts that frequent the waters between Sardinia and Corsica in the summer months. Our favourite restaurant is on the beach at Porto Pozzo, family run with a delicious daily menu and fish of the day. In October, it is just lovely to experience late summer and sunshine and have the place to ourselves after the summer rush.

I joined Just Sardinia as Financial Controller in 2015 after spending nearly thirty years in similar positions in the Catering and Hospitality sector.

As a long-time admirer of the Italian culture and way of life and regular visitor to the mainland I am now enjoying discovering the beauty and laid back charm of Sardinia.

My time at Just Sardinia began with me 'helping out' for 2 weeks, which was 15 years ago now. Over the years I have been lucky enough to see the company grow, meet some wonderful people, make some lifelong friends and visit Sardinia more times than I can remember.

My job role has evolved so much, from Administration and Reservations to my current and longest role as Operations Manager. I love dealing directly with our lovely suppliers in Sardinia, Sicily and Corsica as well as my involvement in the product development, our brochures, websites and marketing.

After all these years I still can’t pick a favourite part of Sardinia, it’s just impossible. I love the quietness of the south, its beautifully long beaches, the dramatic central eastern coastline, the stunning north east with its incredible bays and coves and the very charming Alghero. My favourite hotels are probably the Hotel Relais Villa del Golfo & Spa in Cannigione, La Villa del Re in Costa Rei and Lanthia Resort in Santa Maria Navaresse.

To me Sardinia has everything, stunning scenery, beautiful beaches, wonderful climate, amazing food and fantastic wines, my personal favourite being Buio Buio a very robust red from the South West of Sardinia, although drink too much of it and you’ll know about it the next day!

Having also visited our new destinations of Sicily and Corsica I am looking forward to getting to know Sardinia’s neighbouring islands better, I love the fact that these 3 islands are so completely different from each other in landscape, culture, food and wine but all have so much to offer their visitors.

My life at Just Sardinia started as a temporary summer job, it’s been a long summer as 14 years on I’m still here and very much part of the furniture!

Having spent time in Reservations and Operations over the years I’ve finally settled on Administration Manager and I’m responsible ensuring that all our customers get a great service after they have booked, it’s a challenging role but very satisfying.

My husband and I always try and take at least a week’s holiday in Sardinia every year and I love swimming (sorry paddling) in the crystal clear waters. Alghero is one of my favourite places to stay with the option to walk in to town and try all the local restaurants. Our best holiday ever was at the Hotel Capo d’Orso where we completely chilled out and enjoyed the amazing food and wine on offer.

Having recently returned from stunning trips to Corsica and Sicily I am looking forward to expanding our new ventures as well as returning to Sardinia soon.

I started at Just Sardinia helping out over the summer 13 years ago, since then I have worked in Administration and Reservations and now am busy in our Marketing and Operations department which varies day to day, keeping in contact with our suppliers in Sardinia, Corsica and Sicily, putting together our brochures and ensuring our websites are up to date.

I enjoy travelling to Sardinia, most recently with my children, who all thoroughly enjoyed themselves and often, through their play, are found to be in Sardinia on holiday!

I’ve been involved in the travel industry for the past 15 years and in the Reservations Department at Just Sardinia for the last 11 years. I really value the in-depth knowledge of Sardinia that I’ve acquired over the years and enjoy sharing this with anyone that will listen.

My favourite area on the island is in the north east, around the archipelago of La Maddalena and the coast between Cannigione and Santa Teresa. The turquoise water and many unspoilt bays and coves here are stunning whether you explore by car or by boat. There are also plenty of small towns and villages to explore in the area - my favourites being La Maddalena and Santa Teresa di Gallura where you can get the ferry to Corsica from.

My favourite place to stay is Hotel Capo d’Orso Thalasso & Spa in Cala Capra, near Palau. It’s in the most beautiful spot blended into the coast and almost hidden from both land and sea with views towards the Maddalena islands. It has 2 beaches and several wooden bathing platforms to swim into the clear sea from as well as a mini marina to sail from over to the Archipelago of La Maddalena from. I also love the Su Gologone Country Resort in the centre of the island which offers a perfect combination with Capo d’Orso to give a taste mountains and sea.

I love being in the sea in Sardinia; swimming, sailing or diving. When I’m not in the sea I like exploring to find stunning scenery or interesting towns. I love long drawn-out meals in the warm evenings with lots of simple delicious food (juicy tomatoes / fresh fish / tasty cheeses and salami) and a glass or two of the local vino.

I am from Italy and, more specifically, from Sicily. I started to work at Just Sardinia in April 2015, thinking that it would have been just a summer internship but now I know that those first 6 months were just the beginning. I started working in the Administration department before moving in to the Reservations department in September, ready to help and inspire you in choosing a holiday to Sardinia.

In this surprising island great food, excellent wine and stunning scenery are mixed together to create an unforgettable holiday. Based on these three features, my favourite hotels are Su Gologone Country Resort, which gives you a unique experience surrounded by Sardinian tastes, perfumes and colours; Lanthia Resort, just in front of the beach in Santa Maria Navarrese, which offers a perfect combination between modern and Sardinian style, where I enjoyed amazing food and a glass of Vermentino in the garden restaurant; and finally La Villa del Re, a very elegant hotel whose infinity pool faces the stunning Costa Rei beach.

During my first visit to Sardinia I realised how this island can be completely different from my Sicily and is absolutely perfect for those wanting an ideal holiday by the beach, tasting delicious meals and drinking a great wine.

I have recently returned to the Just Sardinia ‘family’ again since gaining some other travel industry experience and having my daughter. It is not difficult for me to sell holidays to Sardinia as it is impossible to hide my enthusiasm and love for the island. Having had multiple work trips and holidays to Sardinia I have seen many areas and visiting Sardinia feels like going to my second home.

My favourite holidays to Sardinia have been to Alghero. I love exploring the old cobbled streets with their array of restaurants, bars and shops and have made some very happy memories there! I have also had wonderful holidays in Cannigione and Villasimius.

My favourite things to do on holiday in Sardinia are boat trips and a visit to an agriturismo to sample some local cuisine and suckling pig. I recommend hiring a car and exploring the mountains and villages of rural Sardinia, and a visit to the stunning island of La Maddalena is a ‘must do’.

I am looking forward to learning more about Corsica and Sicily and discovering the delights on offer in these islands too.

I’m the newest member of Just Sardinia and started my training in March 2017 in the reservations department.

I have worked in the travel industry for 12 years as cabin crew but after having my daughter I wanted to stay closer to home.

I have been to Sardinia a few times now and stayed at Forte Village 3 times. It had undergone a massive refurbishment the second time I visited and you could really see the difference.

Most recently I went on an educational in September and I was quite surprised with which hotels I preferred over others. I generally prefer smaller, quieter hotels but I fell in love with Resort & Spa Le Dune, I have a young daughter and the facilities and the Kids Club here just amazed me and I can't wait to take her there. If I went there without my daughter my favourite would be Hotel Relais Villa del Golfo & Spa, it is situated in the lovely town of Cannigione in north east Sardinia.

I'd love to send my parents to La Villa Del Re, the hotel is very intimate and peaceful, there’s a stunning infinity pool overlooking the white sandy beach.

The Island is so beautiful, yet different in each area so I would highly recommend hiring a car, just to explore the little hidden coves in the north east, the cobbled streets around Alghero town and the crystal clear blue seas and soft white sandy beaches in the south.

I now look forward to exploring our other islands Sicily and Corsica.

I joined the company in March 2017 working in Accounts Department and can’t be happier with my choice. I received a warm welcome and the feeling to be part of a family really makes the difference! I have lived in Sardinia for 40 years and can say it is rare to find people who know and love my island that deeply.

I usually fly back to Sardinia once a year and love chilling out with family and friends after a long relaxing day on the beach. Another good reason to visit the island is its amazing food, especially if tasted along with a glass of our red wine!

I have been to Corsica and Sicily as well and really enjoined their beautiful views and the sea. I hope to visit those places again very soon as they are simply unforgettable

I have recently joined the company as an apprentice working in the Administration Department. I spent three years at college studying Travel and Tourism, so I have a great interest in the industry and can’t wait to learn more about Sardinia, Sicily and Corsica.
