The Hotel Villa del Re was fantastic. The moment we entered the property, we knew we had arrived somewhere special. The Hotel was spotlessly clean and the Staff are smart, polite and attentive. The food is excellent and the grounds are pretty. The beach and pool area are lovely. On arrival, we found our bedroom was very small but had no problem in upgrading to a Junior Suite after a couple of days. The Hotel is not within walking distance of any Restaurants, Bars etc. and is the perfect place to go for a totally relaxing holiday. We absolutely loved our holiday at Villa del Re and will definitely be returning there again.

La Villa del Re has 50 rooms arranged on the ground and first floor, most with either terrace or balcony with garden or sea views.  All the rooms are elegantly decorated and furnished and have en suite shower room, telephone, safe, satellite TV, air conditioning, desk, wardrobe, minibar, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers.

Classic Room(16-19m ² ) double bedroom with en suite shower room and partial garden/street view

Superior Room(16-23m ² ) double/twin bedroom with en suite shower room and balcony/terrace with garden, or sea front or grand balcony sea front (supplement) plus the possibility of an extra bed

The hotel has 2 restaurants: Le Palme gourmet restaurant is on the ground floor with an outside terrace for an al fresco breakfast and à la carte dinner (extra cost, reservation required) featuring the finest traditional Mediterranean cuisine, with Sardinian specialities; Bella Vista Grill restaurant offers aperitifs and serves lunch from 1pm-3pm (extra cost) and an à la carte dinner overlooking the pool and sea. An all day menu is available for light snacks from 12pm-10pm

There is a small bar for aperitifs and after dinner drinks. There is also a pool bar which also serves drinks to guests on the beach.

Please note: shorts and flip flops are not permitted in the restaurant at dinner.

The hotel gardens lead down to an attractive infinity style pool with deck surround and sunbeds, parasols and pool bar serving drinks throughout the day. 200m away along a shaded path through the gardens, there is a large, sandy beach where the hotel has a reserved area with sunbeds and parasols situated on the edge of the clear sea, ideal for swimming and snorkelling (sunbeds are allocated for duration of stay, front row extra cost). Watersports are available for guests by arrangement at the hotel reception and a drinks service is available.

The small beauty centre offers treatments (extra cost), a wine tasting experience is availble in the Wine Cellar offering a wide selection of wines (extra cost) and the 24 hour reception offers guests hotel and local information. WiFi, bicycle hire and complimentary underground parking are all available.

The hotel has a courtesy room for guests that arrive before check in or require a late check out, enabling guests change upon arrival or shower and change before departure. 

La Villa del Re is situated 3km from Costa Rei, a charming holiday resort with shops, cafe bars, restaurants and pizzerias, gelaterias and a stunning 8km white sandy beach.  

Villasimius is approximately 14km to the south, again offering a variety of shops and dining options, along a wonderful scenic coastal road lined with many picturesque coves and beaches to the dramatic south eastern tip of the island, Capo Carbonara.

The landscape in this part of the island is set off by rolling hills covered with aromatic green Mediterranean vegetation and dramatic granite cliffs, which is mainly undeveloped. The local area of Castiadas has archaeological sites and ancient Nuraghi to visit.  

The coastline boasts many beautiful beaches including Cala Pira, Monte Turnu, Cove Marina, Cala Sinzias, Villa Rey, St. Just, Cala Sant 'Elmo, Porto Piratzu and Serpentara island.
