The Accommodation

There are 65 rooms which are all different from each other and offering the choice of Classic room, Deluxe room, Sea Side Junior Suite or Classic Junior Suite.  The Classic rooms accommodate 2/4 but some interconnect and are therefore suitable for families, and the Junior Suites can sleep up to 3/4.  All rooms have been recently refurbished, completely redesigned with materials and fabrics that reinterpret the Sardinian seafaring tradition from a modern perspective.

In keeping with the hotels character, the rooms are furnished using embroidered fabrics, wooden furniture, Sardinian stone and wrought-iron. Rooms have a modern en suite shower room (bath on request) and all the rooms have air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, WiFi, safe, minibar, coffee machine, hairdryer and a terrace or balcony, some with sea views.

The Restaurant & Bar

Guests can enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast with picture windows overlooking the gardens and sea in the elegant Blue Moon restaurant, which also offers a lunchtime buffet (extra cost) and an elegant dinner with local and international dishes accompanied by impeccable service. Please note: gentlemen must wear long trousers at dinner.

Il Gazebino Dinner Restaurant offers an a la carte menu with fish specialities for an al fresco dinner with sea views.

The Luna Nuova Cafe bar has a terrace to enjoy the wonderful views over the sea and theGazebino Pool & Beach Bar in the gardens between the pool and beach serving drinks and snacks throughout the day and a light lunch menu (extra cost).

The Facilities

The hotel is approached via a private road through Puntaldia which is a development of villas with a marina with boat rental and a diving centre, piazza with shops, supermarket, restaurants and bar, a tennis club and the hotel and golf club at its centre.  

There is a reception for hotel and local information and English speaking staff who can book excursions, tennis, diving, boat and car rental. The reception hall and the bar have been refurbished using natural materials and warm colours. Steps lead down to the immaculate lawned gardens and there is a lovely swimming pool with sun loungers and parasols provided on the grass surround.  It is just 50m to the sandy beach where there are also sunbeds and parasols for guests use.   

There is entertainment in the evenings at Puntaldia amphitheatre with baby dance, open air cinema and shows.

Spa Hotel

Within the hotel is a spa centre with jacuzzi, Turkish bath, sauna and plunge pool and a beauty centre offering massages and treatments in 5 treatment rooms.  There is also a small gym with weights and exercise machines.

The Golf Club

Occupying an entire wing of the resort, the Golf Club offers guests the opportunity of playing on the 9-hole course, driving range and practice green. There is a golf instructor on hand for those who wish to have private lessons and there is golf club and trolley/golf cart hire.  

Green fees for guests of the hotel are from €57 for 18 holes in low season and €73 in high season (juniors from €31). 

The Local Area

Puntaldìa is located at Punta Sabatino near San Teodoro on the east coast of the island and 23km south of Olbia airport. It is an immaculate development in a wonderful location overlooking the picturesque coastline and built in harmony with the surrounding natural park.

There is a range of shops, eateries, marina and sport activities including tennis, diving and golf. It is also the ideal base for exploring the north east coast from Olbia to Golfo di Orosei.  

San Teodoro, 9km away, is a buzzing holiday resort in high season with a good selection of shops, café bars, restaurants, pizzerias and gelaterias. On summer evenings there are market stalls in the town piazza and central streets to buy typical Sardinian handicrafts and Sardinian specialities are available, including local wines and cheeses, from the small food shops. The area also offers horse riding, mountain biking and nature trails at Monti Nieddu, the hills behind San Teodoro.

Due Lune Puntaldia Resort & Golf is a true gem in a fantastic location being just a short transfer from Olbia airport and having a wonderful position with a lovely beach and pool, beautiful golf course, immaculate gardens, spa centre and elegant restaurant.  

The resort is family run, originally built in 1983 but refurbished in keeping with its character.  Puntaldia where the resort is situated is a safe and attractive residential development offering guests shops, restaurants and sports activities.  

This hotel will appeal to both couples and families who are looking for a relaxing beach holiday with the possibility of golf and other activities if they so wish.  Car hire recommended.
