Please read the following useful information before you go on holiday and if you have any queries call us on 01202 484858.
All prices from on this website are for accommodation only. Flights, transfers, car hire and travel insurance are priced seperately.
Some advertised hotel facilities might not be available or fully operational in the early or late part of the season, depending on the number of guests at the hotel or weather conditions (e.g. A/C may not be turned on in low season and additional restaurants and swimming pools may not be in use).
Accommodation facilities are subject to change at the management’s discretion. We will endeavour to inform you as soon as possible of any changes that may affect your holiday, prior to your departure if we have been informed in time.
When staying in certain regions of Sardinia there is a local tourist tax which guests are required to pay on check out of the hotel. The cost of this tax can vary depending on region and accommodation star rating and is calculated on a per person per night basis. Where we have been informed of these taxes we have stated the costs on the acccommodation page however these can be introduced at any time and are subject to change. We will endevour to inform you should this occur.
If you have a specific request for your holiday, we will do our best to honour this. However, a request is not guaranteed and is subject to availability at the time of arrival.
All accommodation is graded under the local Italian system, which differs from that of the UK. Hotels can vary within the same star rating as they do in the UK (please ask our Reservation Team for more details).
To quickly find the accommodation in which you are interested on our website, please refer to the quick link number stated on each accommodation page in our brochure, which is a unique number that you can enter into the search box at the top of each web page or by typing
www.justsardinia.co.uk/xx (where xx = quick link ref number).
Unless otherwise stated swimming pools are not heated. Hotel swimming pools normally have a lifeguard and may be closed during lunch time and in the evenings and you may be asked to refrain from using the pool during these hours.
It is not uncommon to find that Children’s Clubs can be predominantly Italian speaking however you should find that most key staff do speak English. In general, there may be limited activities on a Saturday.
Where a property states that it has Satellite TV this will be Italian programming with limited English channels available for example BBC News or CNN only.
We strongly recommend that you complete the ABTA Disability Checklist before making a booking if you have a disability or a medical condition requiring special travel, accommodation or dietary arrangements. The form should also be used to give information regarding specific needs for equipment and/or medication you may have. It can be completed by you or your travel agent. The questions are not meant to be intrusive and the information you provide will be treated confidentially and used only to check that the accommodation, transport and facilities in the destination are right for you. It all helps to ensure you receive a quality service tailored to your particular needs. For more information and to complete a checklist please call our Reservations Team 01202 484858 or email email@example.com
We strongly advise that you and all the members of your travelling party are adequately insured with travel and medical cover as soon as you book your holiday. Policies can be organised with Holiday Extras at: www.justsardinia.co.uk/travelinsurance
We also strongly recommend that you have a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) for reduced cost medical treatment in Europe which can be obtained via the Post Office in the UK or at www.ehic.org.uk
This will be sent to you by post or email 2/3 weeks prior to your departure. We will also send to you some useful information about travelling to your destination, directions, your Resort Representatives, emergency contact mobile telephone number, your accommodation/resort and the local area.
Please check all your documents and your emails from us to ensure that your vouchers, names, dates and times are all correct and if not telephone us immediately on 01202 703505.
Given to you with our compliments, is a Just Sardinia Guide Book that covers places of interest all over the island, general information about it’s history, culture, festivals, activities and helpful Italian phrases, plus a small pull out map.
We will also email you our own travel, accommodation and local information that we have compiled to help you find your way around the resort and local area with personal recommendations for restaurants, activities, excursions or worth while days out either on foot, by car or by boat.
If you own a sat nav which also covers Europe we would recommend taking this on holiday with you (rental’s through car hire companies can be costly with limited availability) for ease of exploring of the island. In Sardinia there is no postcode system like the UK and as part of your driving directions we will send you your accommodation’s Latitude and Longitude which can be inserted into your sat nav.
When collecting your car the principal driver will be asked for a deposit of approximately €1,000-€2,000 depending on car category and additional optional insurance. This is held with the imprint of a major credit or debit card locally upon arrival and will be used in case of accidents, damage or to replace fuel.
The DVLA have abolished the paper counterpart of the UK photocard driving licence and all information relating to fines and penalty points is only available online from the DVLA. Our car hire supplier has confirmed that the photocard driving licence will be sufficient enough to hire a car and no further information will be required from the DVLA.
Your wellbeing whilst on holiday is of prime importance to us and we will do our best to ensure your holiday is safe and trouble free by working with our accommodation and service providers. It is, however, important to remember that standards abroad are not always the same as those we would expect at home and so we do ask you to take care while you are away. We strongly urge you to follow the safety guidelines detailed in our documentation plus any extra information afforded by individual service providers.
Our resort staff have been chosen for their wealth of local knowledge, expertise and love of the island. A Just Sardinia Rep will make contact with you on your arrival in Sardinia either by meeting you at the airport or by text or telephone. On arrival at the airport, make your way through to the Arrivals Hall and if you have transfers arranged a driver will be there to meet you and will take you to your accommodation. If you have hired a car, please make your way to the car hire desk and the agent will assist you with the collection of your vehicle.
Your Reps mobile telephone number and an emergency contact number will be given to you in your pre-departure email, by text on arrival in Sardinia and will also be in your accommodation information file and are contactable at any time during your stay in Sardinia. They can assist you with information about your accommodation, resort, local area and can recommend places to visit, boat trips, activities, excursions and restaurants depending on your own requirements and interests. Our Reps are there to help and ensure that you have the best possible holiday but in the unlikely event that something is not to your satisfaction then please inform them as soon as possible and they will do their best to resolve the situation.
Please note that Just Sardinia Reps do not visit all of our accommodations but are available on the phone for assistance.
You will receive our emergency telephone number for your use in resort in case of need. We also detail in our travel information (either in your ticket wallet or emailed to you) emergency numbers for police, fire, ambulance and road assistance.
In the unlikely event of dissatisfaction with an element of your holiday, we would stress to you to let the Just Sardinia Rep or accommodation reception know about it so that we can rectify the situation as soon as possible. It is much better to solve any issues during your holiday than to wait until you return home. (Please see Terms & Conditions for complaints procedure.)
The currency used in Sardinia is euros (€). Banks are generally open 8.30am-1.30pm and 2.30pm-3.30pm Monday to Friday. There are bancomat/cashpoint machines available outside some banks, which can be used with your UK cashpoint card and usual pin number with instructions available in English. Please note that the hotels are unlikely to change traveller’s cheques but do accept most major credit cards.

In addition, an increasing number of petrol stations have small convenience stores attached to them and many towns have regular produce markets. Whilst the range of products available in shops continues to improve, please remember this is the Mediterranean so certain items might not be readily available.
