The Villa Accommodation:

Villa L'Arco is arranged on 2 floors with the main accommodation on the upper floor comprising of a furnished verandah, enjoying evening sun overlooking the front garden, leading into a spacious open plan lounge/diner with well equipped kitchen including fridge/freezer, hob, electric oven and dishwasher. The lounge area has an L-shaped sofa bed, satellite TV (limited English channels), DVD and CD player, and in the dining area there is a table seating up to 6. Double doors open onto a balcony overlooking the pool which enjoys morning sunshine and far reaching views of the countryside, furnished with handmade table and benches. Accessed from the living area, there is a double bedroom (opening onto the balcony), 1 twin or triple bedroom and 2 shower rooms (1 with WC).

Outside steps lead down to the swimming pool, situated in front of the lower floor of the villa, with lawn and paved surround for relaxation. There are garden gates which can be closed to make it secure for families with young children. The lower floor of the villa has a shaded terrace with wicker furniture and inside there is a games room with table tennis, shower room and a cloakroom with washing machine.

The villa is surrounded by 3 acres of natural gardens with Sardinian grasses, granite rocks, trees, shrubs, plants and macchia.

Bassacutena & Local Area
This area is renowned for its dramatic granite rock formations and scenic views. The villa enjoys panoramic views across the countryside to the mountains surrounding the Costa Smeralda to the east and as far as Tempio and Monte Limbara to the west. The villa is situated 4km from the village of Bassacutena and about 20km drive from the vibrant towns and beaches of Palau to the north east and Santa Teresa to the north west. Porto Pozzo is about 15km drive offering good restaurants, shops and boat trips out to the islands and the windsurfing haven of Porto Pollo is a similar distance.

Villa L’Arco is a popular private villa set in a secluded rural position with swimming pool, balcony, terrace and veranda to relax and enjoy the far reaching countryside views.

The local village of Bassacutena is worth visiting for Café Antico, the Pink bar and 2 small supermarkets. Car hire is essential for getting to the beach, for visiting the larger towns of Arzachena, Santa Teresa and Palau (all approx 20 minutes drive) and exploring the local area. Winding country lanes lead to the villa and previous guests have commented that “the villa is in the middle of nowhere yet in the middle of everywhere”.

Offering peace and tranquillity, with home comforts, the villa is well equipped to suit those wishing to get away from it all.
