The Hotel Accommodation
Tenuta Pilastru is a converted farmhouse (Stazzo), stables and outbuildings which have been redesigned by local architects and lovingly restored by the family who have grown up here to create a charming hotel with agriturismo (farm restaurant) and cottage style rooms.
The old farmhouse that was built in 1840 and the stables are now Farmhouse rooms overlooking the lemon tree patio. The outbuildings are now Cottage style rooms hidden among the wild green olive trees.
All 28 guest rooms are furnished using local woods, wrought iron and natural materials and equipped with air conditioning/heating, TV, telephone, minibar and en suite bath and/or shower room with hairdryer. They are beautifully decorated in a traditional Sardinian style and the names are inspired by the local flora and fauna.
The Facilities
In the grounds there are some amazing rock formations and a feature freshwater swimming pool, with a shallow end for children and spa centre.
If you climb up to the top of the hill there are wonderful far reaching countryside views. Horse riding is available locally as well as golf, sailing, boat hire and excursions to the nearby archaeological sites and to the island of La Maddalena.
The Agriturismo Restaurant
The restaurant at the Tenuta Pilastru has an excellent local reputation with a traditional agriturismo set menu but with many more choices of antipasti, pasta and a high standard of local cuisine. The ingredients are all from the local area and the meat, cheese and wine is produced on site to produce a real taste of Sardinia. The restaurant also offers an alternative menu with choices including fish and vegetarian options.
Arzachena
Although the Tenuta Pilastru is in a rural location, it is only 5km (10 minutes drive) to the nearest town of Arzachena with a good selection of shops, weekly market, bars, cafés, restaurants and pizzerias. Baia Sardinia and Porto Cervo, in the heart of the Costa Smeralda, are approximately 15/20km respectively. The nearest beaches are to be found in Palau and Cannigione, approximately 12km away.

Tenuta Pilastru provides a perfect base in the heart of the beautiful Sardinian countryside for a holiday as active or relaxing as you want it to be. This countryside hotel is ideal for a short stay or a relaxing longer holiday, with peace and quiet in tranquil surroundings.
The local area has many attractions for either sightseeing local archaeological sites to discover the history of Sardinia, or for exploring the coastline with many beautiful beaches and boat trips available to visit La Maddalena islands.
We recommend bed & breakfast but do have dinner at least once in their agriturismo restaurant to experience a high standard of local cuisine (book locally, extra cost). A personal and warm welcome awaits you here.
