There are 10 terraced 42sqm Suites, once the stables and two 35sqm Superior rooms attractively furnished in typical Sardinian style. They all have beamed ceilings, double bedroom, walk-in wardrobe, dressing area, en suite shower room and covered veranda with table and chairs overlooking the gardens. Additionally they offer air conditioning, plasma TV, telephone, internet connection, minibar, safe, hairdryer and pool towels are provided. The Suites also have a lounge area.

The Villas

Lo Stazzo - built in 1850, now restored and refurbished to offer 150sqm rustic style villa has 2 double and 1 twin bedrooms, one with its own entrance, 2 shower rooms, 1 bathroom, a spacious lounge/diner, kitchen and outside veranda with table and chairs overlooking a pretty garden with private swimming pool and terrace with sun loungers and parasol.

Il Pagliaio - once the chicken house and hay barn, restored, remodelled and enlarged to create a 130sqm rustic style villa is arranged on 2 floors with spiral staircase and comprises of 2 double and 1 twin bedrooms, one of which with its own independent entrance, spacious lounge/diner, kitchen, 1 shower room, 1 bathroom and terrace with table and chairs overlooking the pool.

The character villas have been carefully refurbished and attractively furnished with antique furniture and they feature granite walls, beamed ceilings and terracotta tiled floors. They both have air conditioning, plasma TV, telephone, internet connection, pool towels and well equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, oven, hob and dishwasher.

The Facilities

The hotel is approached via a small country lane leading to a parking area. Pathways lead to a reception lounge offering guests information about the hotel and the local area. The agriturismo style restaurant has an indoor dining room and outside terrace offering guests a continental style buffet breakfast and a la carte dinner menu with a selection of delicious local specialities and national cuisine.

The hotel is set in extensive Mediterranean style gardens with lawns, juniper and olive trees. There is a freshwater swimming pool with shallow area and feature granite rocks with terrace, sun loungers and parasols.

The reception offers various guest services such as babysitting and local excursions including boat trips on the Grazie Mimma, a 14m motor cruiser (on request, extra cost) to enjoy the impressive clear sea of the Costa Smeralda.

Arzachena

Stazzo Lu Ciaccaru is in the heart of the Gallura countryside yet just 1.5km from the town of Arzachena, a busy service town en route from Olbia to Santa Teresa with a good selection of shops, banks, supermarkets, weekly market, bars, cafés, restaurants and pizzerias.

A short drive south west of the town towards Bassacutena are two of the island’s best preserved Tombe dei Giganti archaeological sites dating back to about 3000BC and also La Prisgiona, a good example of one of Sardinia’s Nuraghe. The nearest beach is approximately 7km distance just north of Cannigione and the famous Costa Smeralda coastline is about 20km. Olbia airport is 30km away.

Who is Huw? Newly opened in 2008, this is a real find in the heart of the countryside, offering both hotel suites and private villas suitable for both couples and families.

The environment is delightful, surrounded by nature and ideal for those seeking for relaxation and peace and quiet. The original farm buildings have been lovingly restored by the owner to create attractive rustic style accommodation.

The restaurant offers a tempting a la carte menu and friendly service with lots of local knowledge. The hotel is near some of the most important archaeological sites of northern Sardinia and also within easy reach of the renowned Costa Smeralda.
