The Hotel Accommodation

The hotel was an ancient dwelling constructed in the 18th century which has been completely renovated and designed to offer modern accommodation. There are 22 guest rooms located on ground and first floor of the courtyard and on the first floor of the main hotel building.

There is the choice of classic double/twin rooms, deluxe rooms sleeping up to 3, junior suites and suites for 2 adults and 2 children. The rooms are spacious and well furnished, some with wooden beamed ceilings, and all have en suite shower room, air conditioning, telephone, LCD satellite TV, minibar, safe and hairdryer.

The Facilities
The hotel bar and restaurant has a lovely patio on which to relax and savour the view over the valley whilst enjoying a buffet breakfast, cocktails, aperitifs and dinner in the evening (Friday to Sunday only November to March). The chefs create different daily menus using locally grown seasonal produce to offer guests Sardinian specialties and regional cuisine.

In front of the hotel is the swimming pool with jacuzzi and terrace with sun loungers. There are two tennis courts with floodlights and a horseriding centre locally. Private lessons in both tennis and riding are available for adults and children (extra cost).

The reception offers hotel and local information, laundry service and can book babysitting, car and bicycle hire and excursions on request. There is WiFi network throughout the hotel.

The spa centre gives guests the opportunity to relax in the jacuzzi, sauna, steam cave and to book a range of massage and beauty treatments or keep fit in the fitness area (all extra cost).

Alghero
Alghero Resort Country Hotel is situated in the countryside yet just 3km from Alghero town and beach and 12km from the airport. Buzzing with life all year round, Alghero itself offers a great selection of shops, café bars, restaurants, pizzerias and the charming old town with fortified walls, ramparts and lookout towers has a Spanish/Catalan influence and an interesting history to discover. There are daily boat trips to Capo Caccia and Neptune’s Caves from the port and a long white sandy beach stretching from the town to Fertilia, approximately 5km.

Who is Huw? We are delighted to have found this newly opened small resort style hotel which will appeal to discerning couples and families looking for contemporary style accommodation in the peace and tranquility of the countryside, yet within easy reach of the town and beach.

It is an ideal base to relax by the pool and in the spa, with the option of a game of tennis or horseriding in the countryside. Car hire is essential to see more of the local area and visit the colourful town of Alghero.
