Accommodation Location
The Hotel Accommodation
The hotel is one of the oldest buildings in the village, originally used as a granary and then used for the production of wine. Built in local granite at the end of 19th century, it was totally refurbished in 2008 in contemporary Sardinian style.There are 12 individually designed guest rooms and suites, tastefully decorated and furnished using local materials, such as wood and granite, with handmade soft furnishings. The rooms are on the first and second floors serviced by a lift, all with en suite shower room, air conditioning, telephone, minibar, satellite flat screen TV and hairdryer. Some of the rooms have sea views of the Gulf of Orosei.
The Facilities
The hotel is family run with 24 hour reception, concierge, room service, hotel and local information, internet access and also babysitting and beauty treatments can be arranged. There is a lovely garden, illuminated in the evening, in which to relax and enjoy a cocktail. There is also a lounge bar and the restaurant serves a continental style buffet breakfast and à la carte dinner (extra cost), with both regional cooking and Italian cuisine.
It is just a 50m walk to the local town beach equipped with sun beds, parasols and beach towels for guests of the hotel (June to September). There is mountain biking, canoeing, boat rental, tennis, diving, trekking, climbing and horseriding available locally and trips to the Sopramonte mountains with a guide can be arranged.
Santa Maria Navarrese & Local Area
The hotel is located right in front of the beautiful 11th century church in the small coastal town of Santa Maria Navarrese, where there are a selection of shops, café bars, restaurants and pizzerias.
Daily boat trips are available from the marina to the renowned beautiful beaches along the east coast including Cala Goloritzè, Cala Mariolu, Cala Sisine and Cala Luna and there are guided trips into the Supramonte mountains which provide a dramatic backdrop to the town. The larger town of Tortoli is about 8km away and the scenic 'Il Trenino Verde' narrow gauge train can be accessed from Arbatax which is a similar distance.

We are delighted to have found this little gem tucked away on the east coast of Sardinia. The hotel has been beautifully and lovingly restored over the past 20 years by the owners who are only too pleased to organise trips to make the most of this stunning area of the island.
Santa Maria Navarrese is the perfect location for sea and nature lovers with activities ranging from relaxing walks in the countryside to tours in the Supramonte area with Baunei shepherds and boat trips to amazing beaches. It reminds me of an Auberge found in France!
